Quorum builds direct import from KAPPA to streamline workflows for engineers

Quorum Software has introduced new functionality in MOSAIC to improve data management and well analysis for engineers through integration with Citrine, a field performance analysis software from KAPPA.

MOSAIC, a reserves management, economics, budgeting, capital planning and decline analysis application, is used by 60 per cent of the largest Canadian producers.

KAPPA, a petroleum engineering software company, is creating the industry standard for analyzing dynamic data.

To capitalize on the innovation, Quorum built a direct link within MOSAIC to input forecasts from Citrine. At a time when E&P organizations are looking to create greater efficiency and make faster decisions, the connectivity between MOSAIC and Citrine will enable engineers to streamline workflows, spend more time analyzing and understanding wells and less time managing data, the company said.

“This connection is the first of its kind in Canada for Citrine users,” Erin Summers, Business Development at KAPPA, said in a statement. “It will greatly broaden the joint user base between economics, production, reservoir and reserves engineers who use both applications.”

Quorum is the first reserves management system with a direct import from KAPPA, said Mike Lake, president of Quorum Entero MOSAIC. “Creating the connection between MOSAIC and Citrine advances our commitment to delivering customer-oriented innovation and building the Modern Energy Workplace.”
