Health officials report four more deaths from COVID-19 in New Brunswick Friday

FREDERICTON – Health officials in New Brunswick are reporting four more deaths related to COVID-19 in the province today.

There have now been 282 such deaths since the start of the pandemic.

The latest deaths involve two people in the Miramichi region over the age of 90 and people in the Saint John and Bathurst regions in their 80s.

There are now 135 people hospitalized with the virus, a drop of five from Thursday.

That includes 13 people in intensive care — down two — while eight people remain on ventilators.

There are now 341 health-care workers who are isolating after testing positive for COVID-19.
